Child, Adolescent & Young Adult Therapist (Hybrid)

We're seeking an independently licensed therapist who enjoys working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families to join our collaborative team in Richmond. You'll provide individual psychotherapy and, when appropriate, parent consultation and family support, working closely with our psychologists, therapists, and psychiatric providers.


Location: Hybrid

Compensation: Pay per completed clinical session, commensurate with training, licensure, experience, and specialization



Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based individual psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and young adults
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide parent consultation and family support when clinically appropriate
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with psychologists, psychiatric providers, and other clinicians on coordinated care
  • Communicate with parents, schools, and pediatricians as clinically appropriate


Qualifications

  • Independently licensed or license-eligible in Virginia (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or clinical psychologist)
  • Experience providing outpatient psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and/or young adults
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills

Part-Time Psychometrist / Psychological Assessment Technician

 Virginia Psychology is seeking a detail-oriented, personable psychometrist or psychological assessment technician to support our growing assessment services in Richmond. Working under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, you'll assist with standardized test administration and scoring, behavioral observations, rating-scale coordination, testing materials, and organization of assessment data.

This role may be especially well suited for an advanced undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, master's-level graduate, or doctoral student in psychology, school psychology, or a related field with an interest in psychological and neurodevelopmental assessment.


Location: Hybrid

Responsibilities

  • Administer and score standardized psychological and psychoeducational measures
  • Conduct behavioral observations during testing sessions
  • Coordinate rating scales with patients, families, and other informants
  • Organize and prepare testing materials and assessment data
  • Support the supervising psychologist throughout the evaluation process


Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or holding a degree in psychology, school psychology, or a related field (undergraduate through doctoral level welcome)
  • Prior experience administering standardized psychological or psychoeducational measures strongly preferred
  • Detail-oriented, personable, and comfortable working directly with children, adolescents, and/or adults during testing

Psychology Internship

 Virginia Psychology is seeking a motivated psychology intern to join our growing multidisciplinary practice in Richmond. Working under the supervision of our licensed psychologists and therapists, the intern will gain hands-on exposure to outpatient mental health care, psychological assessment, and the day-to-day operations of a private practice.

This opportunity is well suited for an undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, or graduate student in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field who is interested in clinical or assessment-focused career paths.

Position Type: Internship
Schedule: Flexible, part-time, based on academic requirements


Responsibilities

  • Shadow licensed clinicians during therapy sessions and/or psychological evaluations (as clinically and ethically appropriate)
  • Assist with organizing assessment materials, scoring, and data entry under supervision
  • Support administrative tasks related to intake, scheduling, and patient coordination
  • Participate in case consultations and clinical discussions with the supervising team
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and ethical guidelines at all times


Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field
  • Strong interest in clinical psychology, assessment, or behavioral health
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a clinical office setting
  • Prior coursework or experience in psychology preferred but not required
